ITIL® V2-V3 Manager’s Bridge Course
QA’s ITIL V2-V3 Manager’s Bridge to Expert Certificate course gives candidates a fast track route to the new ITIL Version 3 Expert Certificate. This Five Day Course compliments training from previous ITIL versions, and is designed for holders of existing ITIL Managers Certificates.
The aim of the course is to highlight the new topics in ITIL Version 3 and the main differences from earlier ITIL Versions. Delegates will gain a strong understanding of the enhancements to ITIL best practice brought about by the version 3 refresh.
This course is aimed at existing holders of the ITIL Managers Certificate in IT Service Management from earlier ITIL versions who wish to obtain an overview of the new content of ITIL V3 and achieve the ITIL Diploma in IT Service Management.
Please be aware, this course also provides 35 Hours of Contact Education/Professional Development Units towards PMI PMP certification/re-certification
On attending the course please ensure you provide documented evidence that you have passed the ITIL Version 1 or 2 Managers Certificate, by either presenting your certificate (or a copy of your certificate) to the course lecturer. If you cannot provide the physical certificate, then as a minimum you must provide the certificate number. If the exam board was not ISEB, you must also provide the name of the examination board who issued the certificate. Failure to this will result in you exam results being withheld by the exam accreditation body until proof of accreditation has been provided. If you have lost your certificate or you do not have a record of your certificate number please contact ISEB directly before attending the course. ISEB can be contacted on the following number 01793 417655. Thank-you for your co-operation.
Delegates will be provided with pre-course reading material and we strongly recommend that the delegates spend time studying this and reprising their ITIL v1 or v2 knowledge. We strongly recommend that delegates also obtain copies of the five core publications describing the service lifecycle and that they familiarise themselves with the content.
There is a lot of information to cover on the course so we would expect delegates to complete between one and two hours self study each evening.
Delegates will learn how to
Service Management as a Practice
The V3 Service Lifecycle
Key Principles and Models
Technology and Architecture
ITIL Qualification Scheme
The main focus of the Bridging course will be the new content of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), which covers the five core volumes that provide an end-to-end view of IT and its integration with business strategy. It will also provide an overview of the main differences on processes and functions from earlier ITIL versions.
The course is comprised of lecture sessions, exercises, assignment, discussions, practice examinations and closes with the exam on the last day.
The exam is a scenario based complex multi-choice. There are 20 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The pass mark is 16 correct answers from 20 (80%)
